Modern Farm House
Livonia, Michigan
Modern Farm House pairs a familiar rural silhouette with a more open, connected way of living. Layered gables and timber-framed porches give the home its character, while white vertical siding, dark windows and a stone base bring clarity and contrast to the exterior. The plan unfolds from a welcoming front entry into connected living, kitchen and dining spaces, with covered patios creating places to gather beyond the walls. Upstairs, bedrooms and a sitting area offer a quieter retreat, while the lower level provides room for recreation and guests. Throughout, the design balances shared spaces with private places, bringing the scale of a generous family home back to everyday life.
